Global warming threatens humanity

The use of energy is indispensable for various human activities, but it involves the emission of greenhouse gases.
The Earth absorbs and balances the carbon dioxide emitted by humans through self-cleaning process. However, the global warming requires a more active and practical response.

POSCO declared carbon neutrality in 2050

POSCO aims to achieve carbon neutrality by removing or absorbing carbon dioxide generated in the steel manufacturing process by 2050,
thereby reducing amount of actual carbon emissions to '0'.

POSCO established the ' 2050 Carbon Neutral Basic Roadmap ' to outline its 2050 carbon neutral vision and We are implementing mid- to long-term strategies including the commercialization of HyREX, a hydrogen reduction ironmaking.
